The goal of the new fundraising campaign is to make the newly formed Community Security Network the "single point of contact for critical incident co-ordination, information and intelligence sharing, as well as safety and security training," said Yair Szlak, Federation CJA's CEO.

Statistics Canada study explains why Jews were under-reported in the 2016 census
The rewording of a question about ethnic origins resulted in the official number of Canada's Jewish population dropping from 309,650 in 2011 to 143,665 in 2016; to address concerns about the methodology, Statistics Canada said it is testing a new version of the question ahead of the 2021 census.
