Job Summary

The Community Relationship Specialist (CRS) is responsible for all outbound phone communication for the purpose of educating and inspiring members of the community through one-on-one interactions and increasing overall participation and engagement in the Federation CJA annual campaign.


• Develop an in depth knowledge of the Call Center CRM System (Five9).
• Contact businesses or private individuals by phone
• Educate members of community at large on the purpose of Federation CJA (FCJA)
• Provide the community with accurate and relevant information on all FCJA events and initiatives
• During the fundraising season, act as a canvasser on behalf of the general campaign
• Provide accurate and timely answers to any questions as related to all the above
• Identify and overcome any objections as related to all the above
• Perform timely follow up as needed
• Conduct phone surveys
• Complete records of telephonic interactions and keep CRM up to date.
• Participate in ongoing training in order to attain and maintain CRS best practices

Education, Knowledge and Skills

• University degree in progress
• Good written and spoken communication skills, in both English and French
• Proficiency in a third language, an asset (Russian, Hebrew, Yiddish, Spanish)
• Good general computer and typing skills (Email, MSOffice, Internet, Social Networks)
• Professional, positive and patient disposition
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and achieve required performance goals
• Desire to be a driving force in making a difference in your community
