In a heartfelt letter, Isaac Herzog, President of Israel, voices a powerful message of resilience and unity. Reflecting on the nation's history and the pivotal role of Keren Hayesod's supporters, the President calls for continued vigilance and solidarity in the face of rising global antisemitism. This is a declaration of commitment to safeguard Jewish communities everywhere and a reminder that in our darkest hours, we are never alone.

On the solemn occasion of Yom Haplitim, we remember the mass exile of Jews from Arab lands. Sylvain Abitbol, a champion for the rights of these displaced communities, brought this narrative to the forefront in his talks at Jewish day schools. His personal journey intertwines with the forgotten chapter of a million Jews forced from their ancestral homes post-1948, a tale he passionately recounts. Abitbol's advocacy extends to global stages, including the UN, bringing to light the historical plight of Jewish refugees. His dedication to preserving their stories is a call to action for us all to remember and honour their legacy.
