Federation CJA is reaching out to you with this emergency appeal because our beloved State of Israel is at war.
Unprovoked, multi-front terrorist attacks surprised the nation this weekend, bringing traumatizing resonance to Israelis who commemorated 50 years since the Yom Kippur War this week.
Heavy casualties, including more than 700 Israeli deaths among civilians and the military, are being reported. More than 2,000 have been injured. Numerous Israelis, including women and children, are being held captive by terrorists (estimates are as much as 180). Over 4,000 rockets have been aimed toward civilian population centres all over Israel.
This is a time for unity of the Jewish people in Israel and abroad. We call on our community to stand in solidarity with Israel.
Federation CJA is in close contact with our overseas partners, and we anticipate an unprecedented need for funds to assist victims of terror and their families.
Federation CJA will absorb all administrative costs of this emergency appeal so that 100 percent of funds donated will provide critically needed aid to victims and their families.
