WEDNESDAY, JUNE 29 • 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM Members $10.00 Guests $15.00 Bilingual Since the time of Abraham, Jews have had a presence in Africa. In this interactive presentation, Jono David will open a window on some of the oldest Jewish communities in the world: from the orthodox community of the Tunisian island of Djerba, to a yeshiva in the Congo! As well, we will visit emerging Black Jewish groups in Uganda, Cameroon and Ghana, by enjoying two short videos featuring African synagogues and Jewish life.
