Connecting Jewish, Interfaith, and Multi-Heritage Communities

Inter.MTL is a new chapter of FCJA that aims to bring together interfaith, Jewish, and multi-heritage families living in Montreal. Inter.MTL is all about building bridges and connections, while celebrating the diversity that makes Montreal a special place. If you are an interfaith or multi-heritage couple and/or family looking to make meaningful connections, join our INTER.MTL Facebook group!

Honeymoon Israel (HMI)

Federation CJA’s HMI helps young couples with at least one Jewish partner bring Jewish life into their homes in a personal, meaningful way. What begins with a nine-day trip to Israel becomes a community that lasts a lifetime!

PJ Library

Federation CJA’s PJ Library programs are helping to build a stronger Jewish community, one book at a time to children in diverse segments of the Jewish community. Every month, PJ Library sends free books that celebrate Jewish values and culture to families with children from birth through 12 years old. Participation in the program is free.

Interfaith Engagement Community of Practice

Federation CJA is proud to be launching an Interfaith Engagement Community of Practice (CoP) intended to foster a community of like-minded professionals that are focused on engaging interfaith couples and families.

If you are a community professional or volunteer who is interested in furthering your interfaith couple and family engagement strategy, we hope you will join us at one of our upcoming events.

Spark: Montreal Fellowship

Convened by Federation CJA’s Passport to Jewish Life, this unique professional development opportunity involved six institutional multi-sector teams comprised of 28 dedicated staff and volunteers from across the community. Together as teams, they learned how to apply design-thinking and user-centred principles to better serve and engage interfaith couples, families, and members with interfaith identities. Sparking innovation, collaboration, and new connections, this cohort is helping to foster a culture of interfaith inclusion across the community.
