We are aware of what seems like an attempted firebombing at both Federation CJA West Island and Congregation Beth Tikvah. The buildings were both empty, and no one was hurt. The SPVM is aware and investigating. We will report when further updates are available.

Antisemitism must be called out and condemned wherever it rears its ugly head, whether it’s words or actions, none of it belongs in our streets. The perpetrators must be held accountable. Federation CJA and our director of Community Security is in close contact with the SPVM to ensure the safety of our community.

At this moment there is no indication of an increased threat level to the Montreal Jewish Community. Your safety remains our top priority.
