As a member of JEM’s Senior Management Team, the HRM coordinates all Human Resource activities related to the company. The incumbent provides guidance and resources to the professional team with respect to recruitment, onboarding and orientation, performance management and professional development. The HRM ensures that the company conforms to legal, ethical and quality practices in the delivery of human resource support to all the employees who make up its diverse workforce. The HRM will lead the development of a new HR department, including the supervision of a team of professionals dedicated to supporting JEM’s employees living with handicaps.

Job Type: Regular, full-time, on-site

Duties



1. Coordinate and implement various human resource plans and procedures, including the development and implementation of policies and employee handbook;
2. Collaborate with professional team to identify staffing needs, and develop and implement inclusive recruitment strategies to attract appropriate candidates to work at JEM;
3. Manage a small team of professionals mandated to support employees with disabilities;
4. Create and conduct comprehensive orientation and onboarding programs;
5. Work closely with employees, staff and relevant partners to identify and implement necessary workplace adaptations and accommodations for employees with handicaps;
6. Manage files related to work accidents; compensation program; performance evaluation;
7. Liaise with government bodies to ensure conformity with JEM’s contractual obligations to funders and strategic partners;
8. Maintain compliance with federal and local employment and benefits laws and regulations;
9. Foster a supportive work environment that promotes inclusivity and accessibility;
10. Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees in the company, including monitoring payroll and time off banks, and assisting employees in tracking balances, where required;
11. Responsible for pay equity reporting;
12. Conduct regular audits to ensure HR data accuracy and compliance.

Education, Knowledge and Skills



• Member in good standing of the ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agrées (CRHA) is an asset;
• University diploma in human resources management, business administration, or other relevant fields;
• Proven experience in HR management, preferably in a non-profit or inclusive work environment;
• Strong knowledge of HR regulations, provincial employment laws, and best practices;
• Knowledge and working experience with HR information systems;
• Proactivity and innovation required for building new systems and processes;
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team and manage complex situations with tact and diplomacy;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Familiarity with disability accommodation and inclusion practices.
