Women's Campaign Chair, 1953-1954
(written by Karen Coshof, Pauline's daughter)
My mother's involvement was, I recall, long-term, and she was very passionate about it.
I think some of this long-term dedication came from her innate competence; she was a born leader. And some came from her desire to give back to the community. She also welcomed the opportunity to interact with others.
I know she worked very hard at this, and dedicated a great deal of her time. Somewhere I have an old photo album of hers, with masses of pictures of her among other women—all hatted and
gloved – seated around tables at meetings or dinners.
She brought me into it, and I still remember the packs of donor cards I was responsible for.
