Zelda Thow

Women's Campaign Chair, 1979-1980

(As told by her son, David Thow)

Our mom originally became involved with Federation CJA due to her love of people, and the fulfilment she felt when helping others. She loved to talk to others and we fondly remember her early days, spent on the phone securing donations for the campaign. Her passion to help others led her to continue her hard work, and she constantly strived to reach her highest potential.

The mission to Israel and her meeting with Golda Meir were definitely the highlights of her time with Federation CJA. It was her first time in Israel, and the experience of being able to meet someone she had always held in such high esteem was an event that left a lasting impression on her.
