Job Summary

The Senior Cook will be responsible to prepare foods for all food outlets. He/She will adhere to our established standards regarding preparation and presentation of all foods. The incumbent will follow government established guidelines regarding safe food handling, hygiene and work safety.


•Prepare food items hot and cold section for all our food outlets.
•Maintain quality standards of food preparation
•Keeps work station clean and well organized at all times.
•Ensure cleanliness and efficiency of kitchen operations and able to operate commercial kitchen equipment
•Oversee dishwashing facilities and maintaining inventory of supplies
•Comply with MAPAQ guidelines regarding Food Safety Guidelines & Personal Hygiene
•Comply with all Kosher Food laws as dictated by the Jewish Community Council

Education, Knowledge and Skills

•Diploma in Culinary Arts
•MAPAQ Certification is required
•Minimum 3 years in the food service industry
•Excellent knowledge of food
•Familiar with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
•Experience working in a multi-kitchen environment is considered an asset
•Proactive and able to work effectively in a fast-paced and multitasking environment with tight deadlines
•Must be able to adapt to ever changing demands
•Impeccable organization skills and attention to quality and details
•Proven interpersonal skills and ability to establish, interact and maintain relationships with co-workers and management
•Excellent communication skills in both English and French
•Available to work a varied work schedule, including weekends
•Experience working in Kosher Establishment.
