Job Summary

The Y employs approximately 30 full-time staff and hundreds of part-time staff across its various departments – from full-time accountants to part-time swim instructors and day camp counsellors. We are looking for an MIS Manager to oversee all IT functions of the organization.
JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Associate Director of Finance, the MIS Manager is responsible for the management, maintenance and programming of all organizational systems and processes. This position is heavily involved in the organization’s current systems implementation and an integral part of creating and maintain the processes to ensure organizational efficiencies.

Duties

IT Implementation:
• Data mapping/validation for data imports
• Manage the configuration and operation of all software systems
• Test functionality of systems features
• Prepare various reports needed to support the staff in their roles and provide staff training on software to increase staff expertise
• Improve and document current IT infrastructure, process, policies and procedures
On-going responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain organization network and databases
• Ensure proper back-ups of data
• Develop, implement and maintain procedures and policies to ensure data accuracy and security
• Administrate infrastructure, including firewalls, databases, malware protection software and other processes
• Oversee/manage IT tasks of Office Manager. Supervise technical support for both hardware and software issues users encounter. Act as back-up to the office manager on IT related tasks.
• Work with external IT consultants
• Create templates for system set up, scripts and reports
• Create systems and tolls to improve work flow
• Maintain process documentation
• Maintain access management system (fob/proximity card)
• Ongoing support and training on systems, processes and reporting
• Responsible for IT budget
• Additional miscellaneous tasks, as required

Education, Knowledge and Skills

• Diploma of collegial studies (general) or attestation of collegial studies
• 4 – 6 years experience in an administrative position
• Strong computer skills, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
• SQL programming an asset
• Web, HTML and visual basic programming an asset
• Strong understanding of networks and systems
• Excellent interpersonal skills, team player
• Excellent organizational skills, meticulous and precise
• High level of respect for confidentiality
• Excellent time management skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Bilingual (English and French)
• Understanding of accounting standards and concepts an asset
