Job Summary

The Marketing Content Specialist creates written, graphic and photographic content for social media channels. These will reflect top trending topics in an eye-catching and attention-grabbing fashion for the purpose of generating and driving traffic to websites, landing pages, email marketing and other materials of the GenMTL group, the young adult outreach and campaign division of Federation CJA.


• Brainstorm relevant topics aligned with the multi-channel content strategy to increase visibility of GenMTL
• Create effective and eye-catching written, graphic and photographic content for social media, emails and landing pages
• Develop social media campaigns across multiple channels in support of brand and program objectives
• Attend events as needed and leverage events to create content

Education, Knowledge and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Communications, Creative Industries, or related area
• Passion for digital marketing with a strong awareness of emerging trends in communications
• Some relevant working or volunteer experience in marketing and/or social media
• Versatile writer with the ability to work in a range of writing styles
• Graphic design and photography skills – experience with Photoshop and other graphic tools
• Strong knowledge of big 4 social media channels and their respective best practices (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn)
• Experience with email marketing tools
• Self-starter and a dynamic team player
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Attention to details
