Job Summary

The Community Planner acts as resource-person to the Strategic Planning and Community Relations department by serving as an internal liaison with other Federation CJA departments.

Duties

• Synthesize data regarding the impact of Federation CJA funded programs
• Contribute to organization’s broader fundraising efforts by identifying and communicating relevant information linking Federation CJA and affiliated agency funding needs to annual campaign strategies
• Facilitate training opportunities to internal and external stakeholders to ensure in-depth knowledge of Federation CJA initiatives
• Keep abreast of research and trends in the areas of assigned portfolios. Communicate these trends and research to colleagues and relevant stakeholders
• Provide assistance with managing specific files, as needed.

Education, Knowledge and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration, Marketing, Education, Social Science or related degree
• 2 years professional work experience in related field
• Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills, in both English and French.
• Research and evaluation experience an asset
• Proactive and independent worker
• Strong organizational skills with capacity to develop and implement processes as needed
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and multitask environment, detail oriented
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
