Job Summary

The administrative coordinator is responsible for providing administrative, logistical and coordination services to the Director of the Bronfman Jewish Education Centre (BJEC) to help ensure efficiency and effectiveness of daily operations and the implementation of special projects.

Duties

• Provide administrative, logistical and coordination support to the Director of the Bronfman Jewish Education Centre.
• Manage all communication with the schools in our system and external organizations, including but not limited to email correspondence, telephone contacts, translation (English to French), scheduling and minutes of meetings (as required).
• Manage and maintain various databases (contact lists).
• Handle and track some financial information (assigned budgets, payment requisitions, invoicing, etc.)
• Ensure a high level of customer service by interacting with and addressing various telephone and in-person inquiries in a timely manner.
• Coordinate logistical tasks in the planning process of events, meetings and special projects
• Take appropriate action to ensure proper follow-ups on pending dossiers and issues.
• Work collaboratively with the rest of the BJEC team

Education, Knowledge and Skills

• Cegep diploma or a Bachelor’s degree
• 4 to 7 years of relevant experience, namely in a multi-task environment
• A self-starter who can work with minimum supervision or general guidance and instructions
• Outstanding communication, writing and presentation skills in both English and French; knowledge of Hebrew an asset
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) and Microsoft Teams.
• Handle confidential information with utmost discretion and diplomacy
• Impeccable organization skills and attention to quality and details
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish, interact and maintain relationships with co-workers and with all members of the day school community
• Knowledge of Montreal Jewish Community and commitment to FEDERATION CJA values, an asset.
