The Ora Collective: Celebrating Women United to Ignite the Light
On Wednesday night, The Ora Collective gathered for a special evening of celebration. Hosted in a private home in Hampstead, the event recognized the strength and unity of young women working together to shape the future of this community. Ora co-chairs and co-founders, Sabrina Cohen and Rebecca Teboul, recognized how challenging it can be for young, career-minded women to find their place in community in a way that works around their interests and busy schedules. This is what inspired the launch of The Ora Collective, a new division of Federation CJA specifically for women under the age of 45 who personally contribute between $1800 to $4,999 annually to Combined Jewish Appeal®. Together, they are on a mission to champion social causes and deepen community engagement through hands-on volunteering, local impact missions, parlour meetings to discuss hot topics and coming together for networking, wellness and social events. Kol hakavod, ladies!

CIJA Welcomes Government Listing IRGC as Terror Entity
The Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA) welcomes the Government of Canada’s decision to designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist entity under Canadian law. This designation follows years of CIJA's advocacy alongside victims of Iranian terror and Iranian diaspora organizations. "The Canadian Jewish community has persistently called for this action against the IRGC," said CIJA President Shimon Koffler Fogel. Despite the delay since the 2018 Conservative motion, this decisive step empowers authorities to combat the IRGC’s threats.
