Remembering the AMIA Tragedy
This week, we commemorate a solemn anniversary—the 30th year since the tragic bombing of the AMIA Jewish Community Center in Buenos Aires. This heinous act, carried out by Hezbollah, took 85 innocent lives and left an indelible scar on our global Jewish community. We vividly recall the shockwaves it sent through us all.
As we honour the victims and stand with their families, it is crucial to acknowledge that justice has yet to be served. Let us remember the lives lost and reaffirm our resolve to seek justice and ensure such atrocities never happen again.

CIJA: It’s time to condemn Hezbollah!
It is essential that Canada demonstrate its support for Israel, our only democratic ally in the region, and show they understand the threat Hezbollah poses to civilians and to peace in the Middle East by condemning the terrorist group loudly and clearly. On behalf of the Jewish community in Canada and our many allies, tell the Canadian government that it must condemn Hezbollah’s actions and recognize the dangerous and destructive role Hezbollah has played in its targeting of Israel.

Inclusivity Really Means Exclusivity

In it, Zev recounts a personal experience of heightened security at his synagogue following the October 7th massacre in Israel, highlighting the unsettling rise of antisemitism in Canada. His heartfelt piece underscores the feeling of being politically homeless as a Jewish Canadian and the troubling normalization of antisemitism on campuses like McGill University.
