Federation CJA's Women’s Philanthropy offers a unique chance for dynamic and diverse women to come together and make a real difference in our community. From learning opportunities, to community events, to fundraising and gatherings, there’s always something going on in Women’s Philanthropy. Here’s a snapshot of what we’ve been up to in 2016.

The event, planned as a part of the Shabbos Project, united over 1,100 women from across the community for the mitzvah of taking Challah. Guests mixed, kneaded and braided challah, and were inspired by guest speaker Sari Singer.

PACK IT UP

Women’s Philanthropy TOV initiative Pack it Up! sent over 460 children in need back to the classroom with a sense of pride and excitement by providing them with backpacks filled with new school supplies.

Over 600 women demonstrated the power of sisterhood at this exceptional evening featuring guest speaker Nancy Spielberg and a powerful testimonial from Holocaust survivor Eva Kuper.

YOM YOCHEVED CLOTHING GIVEAWAY

A record-breaking 1,200 people received brand new fall and winter clothing and accessories thanks to the generous donations of dozens of donors, and the help of over 300 volunteers.

LION OF JUDAH CAMPAIGN EVENT

Our community’s Lions came together for cocktails, canapés and conversation with best-selling author Matti Friedman.

POWER TALKS

Speakers share their knowledge during these informative lunch and learn sessions. Recently, over 100 women gathered to hear Rita Kestenbaum share her inspiring story and provide insight on the topic of Standing Up to Violence Against Women.
