Job Summary
|
The Communications Projects Manager is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive array of corporate communications to promote our organization’s mission, programs, and events. This role requires a creative and strategic thinker who can manage multiple projects simultaneously, engage with diverse audiences, and enhance our presence across various media platforms. This includes helping to plan and produce content for podcasts, news reports, assist with media relations, crisis communications and corporate communications (i.e. press releases, media advisories, pitches, monitoring, speech scripting, presentations). You may also be called upon to produce a wide array of marketing and corporate copy including multi-media messaging (i.e. print, radio, video, social media, emails), extended content (i.e. newsletters, direct mail, brochures, web), to service the needs of Federation CJA and its partners.

Duties and Responsibilities
|
• Assist in producing, coordinating and disseminating executive-level external communications and crisis communications emergency messaging as per the Crisis Communications plan and the CIJA-Q – FCJA MarComm Messaging Policy & Procedure o Liaise with CIJA and partners as needed o Be available after-hours, as needed • Draft organizational messages proactively and situationally, build engaging communications solutions and content to inform/educate a wide variety of audiences, including speeches, newsletters, direct mail, social and crisis messaging o Project management as required • Assist in Media Relations strategies including: o Creation and distribution of press releases and advisories o Outreach to members of the media to pitch stories o Media monitoring at all hours and executive-level notification • Create audio, video and copy content for various podcasts, social and web platforms o Assist with producing, scripting, scheduling, editing and marketing podcasts o Produce news reports, in studio or on-site, to support Federation CJA strategic messaging for podcasts, social media and newsletters o Setup and conduct interviews with guests o Editing, production and post-production is an asset o Support the creation of new podcasts such as profiling key philanthropists

Education, Knowledge and Skills
|
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism or Marketing • Minimum 5 years’ experience in corporate communications, media relations, marketing/advertising including copy development • Familiarity with local PR/media offerings (i.e. TV, radio, print, interactive) • Bilingual (Fluency in verbal French and English) • Excellence in storytelling and branding • Passion for developing creative, compelling and concise content all while capturing individual tones and character (e.g. script/ghost writing, writing for various target groups, etc.) • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish, develop and maintain key relationships with multiple stakeholders • Strong project management skills, including organization, attention to detail and an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, WordPress and good knowledge of social media • Skills in sound and video recording and editing is an asset • Creative, innovative, and passionate with a craving to learn new techniques and use new tools • Knowledge and/or experience with Jewish communal work and/or familiarity with non-profit, philanthropically based organizations, fundraising and development, social entrepreneurship, and non-profits a plus. |
