Powered by GenMTL, Hillel Montreal is dedicated to enrich the lives of Jewish students at three Universities and four CEGEP campuses, as well as three off-campus locations throughout Montreal and its surrounding areas to get involved. Hillel Montreal supports and facilitates student initiatives that promote Jewish values. With an open-door policy and no membership fees, everyone is welcome to contribute to maintaining a vibrant, young Jewish community through grassroots programming and volunteering. Hillel promotes developing leadership skills to equip tomorrow’s leaders today.

Hillel Off-Campus

Off campus spaces offer students intimate areas to be creative, study, get involved or to just chill and connect with fellow Jewish peers. 




Jack Reitman Hillel House
Located near McGill and Concordia Universities, the Jack Reitman Hillel House is a great resource for students who want to be a part of Jewish life off campus in Montreal. This house provides a drop-in environment where many of Hillel’s student-led initiatives are conceived and planned.

The following resources are available:
  • Student office space to facilitate projects, meetings & planning
  • Staff on hand to help bring your ideas to reality
  • Access to WiFi
  • Relaxing student lounge with a TV
  • Fully furnished residence rooms 
  • Library

Anne G. Bailey Hillel Residence
Five rooms are available for students in our beautiful Victorian building in downtown Montreal. Our co-ed dormitory, housed on the third floor of the Jack Reitman Hillel House on Stanley Street, is seconds from the McGill campus and minutes from Concordia.

The residence provides:
  • 8-month lease (extensions available)
  • Fully furnished rooms
  • A/C in all dormitory rooms
  • WiFi and LAN access
  • Common-area kitchenette (Dairy)
  • Laundry facilities
  • Full access to the Jack Reitman Hillel House resources,

Monthly Fees: $650 CAD/month/per person (double occupancy)

Monthly payments due on the 1st of every month. Accepted methods of payment: Visa, MasterCard or postdated cheques (payable to "Federation CJA")

Registration: Based on a first-come, first-served basis (No application deadline)

Deposit: $650 CAD deposit required – will be applied to the 1st month's rent. In the event of cancellation, reimbursement is available if you find a replacement applicant for your spot.

Payments: Due the 1st of each month (Visa, MasterCard or post-dated cheques made out to Federation CJA)

Hillel’s CHAI fellowship program is an intensive leadership development and learning experience touching on campus and greater community political issues, Israel advocacy, education and engagement.

Challah for Hunger
GenMTL Hillel’s Challah for Hunger is a weekly program that offers students the chance to gather in an engaging social environment while baking Challah and making a difference in the world around them.

Flegg Fellowship
The Flegg Learning Fellowship provides students with the opportunity to study Jewish texts in an open, inclusive and engaging atmosphere. Discussions will be facilitated by Montreal’s leading Jewish scholars and educators and will explore universal issues and Jewish identity.

The Hillel Leadership Initiative engages its interns to tap into their personal social networks to connect friends to one another, and to launch student-run Jewish initiatives on and off campus.

Israel on Campus (IOC) is Concordia & McGill University’s one stop shop for anything Israel related. We are a diverse group of students who share an interest and passion for Israeli culture. Jewish Canadian Youth Model United Nations (JCYMUN)
JCYMUN enables Jewish students to understand the inner-workings of the United Nations, while providing them with the opportunity to develop debating, public speaking and analytical thinking skills, all while connecting with similarly committed peers.

The Jewish Commerce Students Society, is powered by GenMTL’s Richter Jewish Chamber of Commerce. JCSS is a yearlong program aimed at offering students tools, training and networking opportunities to succeed in the professional world.
