GenMTL’s The Ora Collective’

The Ora Collective is a new division of Federation CJA composed of women under the age of 45 who personally contribute between $1800 to $4,999 to the Combined Jewish Appeal®️ Annual Campaign.

In Hebrew, the word "אוֹרָה" (pronounced "Orah") means "light.

Federation CJA’s GenMTL Annual Campaign

Federation CJA’s GenMTL Annual Campaign aims at engaging Montreal’s vibrant and diverse under-40 community in support of the Combined Jewish Appeal. Fundraising efforts are used to transform lives and give the less fortunate access to not only life’s necessities – food, housing, clothing, but also allows our community members to access a variety of opportunities such as Jewish education, immersive experiences, employment and more.

GenMTL’s campaign hosts a variety of fun & engaging local events for young adults, giving them an opportunity to get involved in philanthropy and educated about the needs in their community.

Ben Gurion Society (BGS)

GenMTL’s Ben Gurion Society is full of young men and women combining their power, passion and resources to build a strong, responsible Jewish community, at home, in Israel and around the world. Through membership into the BGS, you’ll meet other like-minded young professionals who are connected to the Jewish community through philanthropy. With a contribution of $1,000 or more to Federation CJA, you’ll become a member and enjoy VIP treatment and have access to exclusive events along with business and social networking opportunities.

Kids Mitzvah Club

GenMTL’s PJ Library Kids Mitzvah Club is a unique mitzvah doing initiative for young families. Small groups gather in each other’s homes to learn about, brainstorm and plan "Mitzvah" projects and other family volunteering initiatives in their neighborhoods.

Tov Teen Mission

TOV's Teen Mission is an educational trip that enables participants to experience Israel through hands-on volunteering in Montreal’s partnership city, Beersheva. This experience will foster the connection between young Canadians and Israelis, while developing community leaders.
