Join us as we transition from remembering Israel's fallen heroes to celebrating Israel's independence. Yonina is a married couple and musical powerhouse duo from the quiet, rural city of Pardes Chana in Central Israel. A year and a half ago, Yonina, made up of husband and wife duo Yoni and Nina Tokayer, started uploading a weekly video to Facebook and Youtube. To their astonishment, their videos began receiving a huge amount of exposure, the record being their most popular "One Day" video with over 40 million views from all over the world. Since then, they've released moving covers of popular songs as well as original music in both Hebrew and English. They've performed live in Israel and all over the world, in both private events and large-scale concerts.Their work is predicated on the shared belief in music's unique ability to mend wounds and spread out across barriers. Accompanied by Cantor Adam Stotland and friends, their live musical performance at Shaare Zion on April 18th will be the perfect way both to remember Israel's fallen heroes with dignity and respect and to celebrate Israel's independence with overflowing pride, love and ruach. Their debut album Emet Pshuta can be found here: https://www.yoninamusic.com/buy-music They called it Emet Pshuta or "Simple Truth", because, in their words, "what we want to convey most through our music is a simple, clear voice - from one heart to another."
