Oktopus, a spectacular con­cert!

Oktopus is an instrumental octet dedicated to Eastern European music, recasting it in boldly uninhibited new arrangements. The group’s diverse repertoire blends regional melodies, the heritage of the greatest classical composers, and Québec chansons results in Oktopus’ unique, distinctive style – one that goes well beyond the label “Québécois classico-Balkan klezmer”.

Before the performance, singer and musicologist Hélène Engel will present a bilingual introduction to the Jewish music.
