Commemoration of the Romani Genocide In addition to committing genocide against the Jews, the Nazis committed genocide against the Roma and Sinti. Join us on August 1st, in honour of the day of remembrance of the Romani Genocide to discover testimonies of survivors and remember the victims. The commemoration will include the reading of testimonies of Roma Genocide survivors, such as Alfreda Markowska, who saved approximately fifty Jewish and Roma children during World War II. Paul Herczeg, Holocaust survivor, will share his testimony about witnessing the deportation of Roma and Sinti from Auschwitz-Birkenau. In partnership with Romanipe.
