In partnership with the Jewish Community Foundation (JCF), Federation CJA has collaborated with over 93 community organizations and healthcare institutions in order to provide immediate support and emergency aid, isolation support and psychosocial support. To date, we have deployed upwards of $1,327,000 to our agencies and community partners in order to accomplish the following.

 
TO ADDRESS THE GROWING NEEDS OF THE VULNERABLE WE:
PROVIDED OVER 8,870 INDIVIDUALS WITH PASSOVER BASKETS AND PREPARED MEALS.
 
PROVIDED OVER 5,600 INDIVIDUALS WITH BASIC NECESSITIES.
 
MADE OVER 25,000 CALLS TO SENIORS AND OTHER ISOLATED INDIVIDUALS, THROUGH OUR FRIENDLY CALL INITIATIVES.
 
PROVIDED OVER 1,470 HOUSEHOLDS WITH FINANCIAL SUPPORT.
 
PROVIDED 37 INTEREST-FREE LOANS TO COMMUNITY ENTREPRENEURS AND SMALL BUSINESSES, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE JCF AND HEBREW FREE LOAN ASSOCIATION OF MONTREAL.
 
WE MOBILIZED OVER 500 VOLUNTEERS TO:
PACKAGE AND DELIVER OVER 4,000 CARE KITS FOR FRONTLINE WORKERS AT 8 DIFFERENT HEALTHCARE INSTITUTIONS.
 
DELIVER 3,550 ISOLATION SUPPORT PACKAGES TO SENIORS AND OTHER VULNERABLE MEMBERS OF OUR COMMUNITY.
 
DISTRIBUTE OVER 85 IPADS AND COMPUTERS TO ISOLATED SENIORS AND VULNERABLE COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO ENSURE THEY ARE ABLE TO CONNECT VIRTUALLY WITH FAMILY AND SCHOLASTIC PROGRAMS.
 
MAKE OVER 7,600 BAKED GOODS AND DELIVER THEM TO 2,000 FRONTLINE WORKERS AT 25 HEALTHCARE INSTITUTIONS AND LONG-TERM CARE CENTRES.

Helpline & statistics

In collaboration with our social service agencies, Agence Ometz and Cummings Centre, we set up a helpline to best connect with the vulnerable members of our community. The helpline number was shared with over 100 Jewish institutions across the city.
