In partnership with the Jewish Community Foundation (JCF), Federation CJA has been working closely with Agence Ometz, Communauté Sépharade Unifiée de Québec, and Cummings Center to provide front line support to our community. Federation CJA and the JCF together have funded and collaborated with over 41 different agencies and community partners in order to provide immediate support for vulnerable members of the Jewish community. To date, we have deployed upwards of $1,000,000 to our agencies and community partners in order to accomplish the following.

TO ADDRESS THE GROWING NEEDS OF THE VULNERABLE WE:
PURCHASED OVER $600,000 IN FOOD CARDS TO DISTRIBUTE TO CLIENTS OF OUR AGENCIES, SPECIFICALLY TO ADDRESS THE 52% INCREASE IN INDIVIDUALS WHO IDENTIFIED AS NEWLY VULNERABLE DUE TO THE CRISIS WHEN CALLING OUR HOTLINE.

PROVIDED 8,000 PEOPLE WITH BASIC NECESSITIES INCLUDING GROCERIES, KOSHER MEALS AND PHARMACEUTICALS.

MADE OVER 16,000 CALLS TO SENIORS TO ENSURE THEIR WELL-BEING, INCLUDING 5,500 INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE BEEN CALLED AT LEAST 3 TIMES AND MATCHED WITH A VOLUNTEER BUDDY.

WE MOBILIZED OVER 250 VOLUNTEERS TO:
PURCHASE AND DELIVER FOOD TO COMMUNITY MEMBERS UNABLE TO LEAVE THEIR HOMES.

CREATE A BUDDY CALL SYSTEM TO ENSURE SENIORS HAVE REGULAR WEEKLY CALLS AND CONNECTIONS.

DELIVER PREPARED FROZEN MEALS AND PHARMACEUTICALS TO VULNERABLE INDIVIDUALS AND ISOLATED SENIORS UNABLE TO PURCHASE THEM FOR THEMSELVES.
