A special Sigd celebration was held this past Sunday in partnership with the Sylvan Adams YM-YWHA and Federation CJA. The ancient holiday takes place 50 days after Yom Kippur, and has been a national holiday in Israel since 2008. Ethiopian Jewish families and friends shared their culture, delicious food, dance and hospitality. A wonderful time was had by all!
