Detective Joseph Seals was shot by the assailants at a nearby cemetery shortly before they carried out the deadly attack at a kosher grocery store last Wednesday.

Canada upholds UN vote on Palestinian self-determination
Canada was sharply rebuked last month when it moved from its traditional No vote on a draft of the resolution, to supporting it; on Wednesday, it ratified its earlier vote at the UN General Assembly.
