In preparation for the High Holidays, Federation CJA West Island collaborated with seven community organizations (six West Island spiritual institutions: Chabad Dollard, Congregation Beth Tikvah, Communauté Or Shalom, Gutnick Mazal Jewish Center, Shulounge, and The Rocking Rabbi of Chai West Island) and MADA Community Centre West Island.

In partnership with Chabad Dollard, who organized the logistics for delivery, 2,500 honey cakes were delivered to every home in DDO with a mezuzah. The goal was to create collaboration and unity amongst the West Island synagogues as we enter the new year. More than 75 volunteers of all ages and stages (from teens to families and seniors) helped with packaging resource material, honey cakes, and deliveries. Shana Tova!
