GenMTL's Pay it Forward for Purim initiative sold out in just one week, with 200 mishloach manot baskets donated to help vulnerable families in our community celebrate Purim.
In celebration of Jewish Disability Awareness, Acceptance and Inclusion Month (JDAIM), GenMTL collaborated with social enterprise and Montreal-based kosher bakery Boulangerie DeLaMie to prepare delicious mishloach manot and educate the Montreal Jewish community on JDAIM.
DeLaMie, spearheaded by Friendship Circle Montreal and Jeffrey Finkelstein of Hof Kelsten, is creating vocational opportunities and empowering young people with disabilities to bake, package, and sell baked goods. Their goal is to inspire a ripple effect of inclusive employment.
