ROSALIND GOODMAN LEGACY AWARD
Trish Bengualid has been a leader in the community for over 30 years. When her parents immigrated to Canada, JIAS played a vital role in helping the family integrate, and so the spirit of giving was instilled in her from a young age. Having secured her first job through Federation CJA, she has now come full circle: she has been an active board member of Women’s Philanthropy for the past four years, she is a member of the Ometz Board of Directors, and in 2018 was a member of Federation CJA’s nominating committee. She has chaired both Choices and the ATID Leadership Program for Women’s Philanthropy. She also served on the Board of Hebrew Foundation School and sat on the Executive Board of the Just for Kids Foundation. In 1985, she won Volunteer of the Year for the Sephardic community center; in 2013, she received the Irma Polisuk Memorial Award for outstanding volunteer work; and in 2017, she won the Bess Pascal memorial scholarship. Professionally, Trish has worked in IT for 20 years, spending the last eight at Microsoft Canada. She has been happily married to her husband Nadav Krasner for 30 years, and they have three children.
"I hope to motivate others by showing them that even one person can make a difference in our community."
