Samuel Bronfman Medal
The Samuel Bronfman Medal was established in 1971 as the most prestigious award granted annually by FEDERATION CJA to one person in Montreal in recognition of his or her service to the community. The medal honours extraordinary service and leadership to the Jewish community over a long period of time.
Robert VinebergDistinguished Leadership Award
This award recognizes two exceptional individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary leadership, contributing to the enhancement, enrichment and continuity of Jewish life locally, nationally and/or internationally. These individuals serve as role models for current and future leaders of all ages throughout the Jewish community.
Michael Frankel, CA Dr. Morty YalovskyMildred B. Lande Award
This award is presented to a woman who characterizes exemplary communal leadership. The recipient is dedicated to the highest principles of volunteerism, community fundraising and tzedakah, and serves as an inspiration to others, following the path and the on-going vision of Mildred B. Lande, C.M.
Dale BoidmanMinnie Cummings Abbey Award
This award is presented to a dynamic volunteer in Women's Federation CJA who, by her inspiring leadership, dedication and foresight, has espoused the ideals, spirit and vision of Minnie Cummings Abbey.
Thérèse AttiasGertrude & Henry Plotnick Young Leadership Award
This award was established by the Plotnick family in honour of Gertrude and Henry Plotnick to recognize two young individuals who exhibit outstanding commitment to the Jewish people. Through their involvement in various facets of community life, these individuals are making significant contributions to Jewish agencies and institutions, and are demonstrating the ability and desire to continue to serve in a leadership capacity.
Gilbert Tordjman Jamie RossBrenda & Samuel Gewurz Award for Excellence in Jewish Education
Inaugurated in 2007, this award recognizes the contribution educators make to Jewish education and how they inspire young people to connect with their Jewish identity.
Frances (Cooki) Levy Avi SatovJon Roskies Award for New Leadership
Established in memory of the late Jon Roskies, this award recognizes the potential of young people, encourages their commitment to community work and nurtures their development by expanding the scope of Jewish experience.
Michael RoskiesRuth & Michael Rosenthal Family Student Leadership Award
This award was established by the Rosenthal Family to honour CEGEP or university students active in volunteer community work. The award recognizes outstanding involvement in the Jewish community and encourages development by expanding the scope of their community experience, on a local and international level.
Corey OmerYAD Leadership Award
Established by Marty Lieberman and family to honour Renée Brooks Lieberman, Chair of the Young Adult Division (1996-1998), this award pays tribute to an active member of YAD for creative leadership and dedication to young adults in the Jewish community.
Elliot GreenstoneAward for Community Service
This award honours a voluntary organization for worthy achievement and is conferred only when there is an outstanding nominee. It recognizes superior initiative and achievement in the advancement of local community service.
Camp MassadProfessional Excellence II Award
This award recognizes exemplary performance by Jewish community professionals who have worked for more than five years at FEDERATION CJA or any of its affiliated agencies.
Pablo FabrykantProfessional Excellence I Award
This award recognizes exemplary performance by Jewish community professionals who have worked for less than five years at FEDERATION CJA or any of its affiliated agencies.
Shannon HodgeOutstanding Administrative Staff Award
This award recognizes exemplary performance by an administrative assistant (or equivalent position) who has demonstrated outstanding commitment to the communal service field and who has worked for more than five years at FEDERATION CJA or any of its affiliated agencies.
