Local – $24.3 million
Local allocations strengthen the Jewish community of Montreal, care for people in need and promote Jewish identity through our network of agencies and organizations.
Israel - $6.5 million
Allocations through Jewish Federations of Canada – UIA (JFC-UIA) to Israel and overseas address, with our partners abroad, social issues including youth, education, social welfare, capacity building and people-to-people connections.
National - $1.9 million
Montreal’s share of national collective responsibility through JFC-UIA provides support for advocacy, small communities, immigrants and youth across the country.

Jewish Identity
To ensure a vibrant Jewish community in the future, it is essential to support Jewish education and provide programs that build Jewish identity today. Federation CJA is investing $8.7 million in response to this communal priority which includes $3 million to provide tuition assistance to families who could not otherwise afford a Jewish education for their children.

Social Services
At the heart of Jewish values is the responsibility to care for those in need. To that end, Federation CJA is allocating more than $7 million to social services for 2012-2013 which includes $2 million for direct poverty relief.
