Job Summary

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Manager, Marketing and Communications is responsible for the overall planning, management and implementation of the agency’s communications and marketing objectives and strategies, as well as the creation and realization of all promotional and informational campaigns and materials.

Duties

• Plan and administer agency’s marketing budget
• Supervise, train, coach and evaluate marketing department staff
• Ensure effective internal and external communications
• Coordinate writing, translation, editing and proofreading of all agency communications in French and English
• Develop and maintain relationships with media and suppliers
• Coordinate and execute marketing and branding strategies
• Develop multi-media approach to effectively communicate agency message
• Develop and implement measures to evaluate effectiveness of marketing and branding initiatives
• Determine marketing materials/channels required to promote individual departments and their respective services
• Ensure ongoing development of relevant web content, working closely with senior management team and IT department
• Establish social media goals
• Execute various brand messages targeting distinct demographic groups within social media channels.

Education, Knowledge and Skills

• University degree in communications, marketing, or relevant field
• Minimum 5 years of management experience
• Demonstrated experience in public relations, marketing and communications
• Demonstrated proficiency in social media marketing
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of MS Project an asset
• Knowledge of not-for-profit sector an asset
• Knowledge of the Montreal Jewish community an asset
• Excellent multi-tasking, organizational and communication skills
