Job Summary
|
The Junior Marketing Officer manages marketing and communications projects as assigned, including project planning, client relations, production and distribution. |
|
Duties
|
The Junior Marketing Officer coordinates assigned marketing and communications projects in support of Combined Jewish Appeal, corporate communications, internal communications, and other Federation or Agency initiatives. These may include a wide range of media from print, interactive, direct response, audio visual, exhibition, powerpoint presentations, advertising (TV, radio, and print), public relations, media relations, marketing collateral, event invitations and signage. The candidate is accountable for delivering successful projects, materials that meet client needs. In collaboration with graphic artists, writers, interactive communications experts, AV producers, printers, photographers, and other external resources, the position implies follow-ups, delivery of high quality creative and technical products. The incumbent prepares requests for quotations, negotiates with suppliers to meet deadlines, budgets and quality expectations and proofreads final texts. The Junior Marketing Officer must ensure the integrity of the look and feel across all media by communicating and enforcing branding guidelines and consistent messaging. Other duties and responsibilities include proactive anticipation and conflict resolution to “client” satisfaction. Education, Knowledge and Skills
|
This is an entry level position, ideal for a candidate that holds a university degree in marketing, communications or in a related field and possesses skills in project management, creative problem solving and customer relations. This position requires an understanding & knowledge of advertising, publicity, and marketing practices as well as an understanding of communications media such as internet, video, audio, photography. The incumbent must have excellent writing and proofreading skills in both English and French as well as strong negotiation skills and an orientation to detail. The candidate must also have strong abilities to research information and be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of the Montreal Jewish community is considered an asset. |
