Federation CJA is committed to advancing the interests of the Jewish family in Montreal, across Canada, in Israel and around the world. It allocates funding, as permitted by law, to the promotion of the state of Israel and to combating antisemitism. It speaks with a strong voice on matters of social justice, and on behalf of the under-privileged and vulnerable to ensure that their concerns, too, are heard. Through its Social Advocacy Committee, Federation CJA advocates on issues relating to poverty, health and social services, and housing.
Advocacy on behalf of the Jewish communities of Quebec and of Canada is undertaken by
the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs. The Centre is dedicated to help improve the quality of Jewish life in Canada, to increase support for Israel, and to strengthen the Canada-Israel relationship.
