Steve Sebag

A financial advisor by profession and a philanthropist at heart, Steve Sebag has generously donated his time to help the community on numerous occasions and participated in many Jewish community service initiatives over the years.

Currently Chair of the Montreal Chapter of the Ben-Gurion Society, Steve has also been involved in the YAD Campaign of Combined Jewish Appeal. But probably his greatest achievement has been founding and co-chairing FIX, a new Agence Ometz project in collaboration with YAD Campaign and the Communauté sépharade unifiée du Québec (CSUQ). FIX is aimed at supporting young people in the Jewish community dealing with a spectrum of challenges and issues, especially addiction.

A graduate of the CSUQ Leadership program, Steve is currently a member of its steering committee. He has recently started volunteering at the CSUQ initiative Le Cercle, a private club for Jewish professionals aged 22 to 40 that aims at creating a business and friendship network.

Passionate and energetic, Steve chaired two Jewish Idol events at Centre Hillel and Deal or No Deal. He also sat on the board of the Centre Hillel in 2006 and 2007, where he co-chaired the École des fans event in 2009. Steve also participated on the steering committee for Federation CJA’s Imagine 2020 initiative in 2009 and 2010.
