Jason Paperman

Jason Paperman graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from McGill University in 2010 and is currently pursuing studies at McGill to obtain an integrated B.C.L/LL.B Law degree.

His commitment to community service was apparent from a young age and in 2003, he received the Peter W. Webster Scholarship, awarded to a student who works hard for community development. Following the example set by his family, he began playing an important role in Combined Jewish Appeal.

Jason quickly established his leadership capacities by founding the FedNext Softball Tournament, chairing the FedNext Campaign Launch Event, FedNext Auto Rally Challenge, the Campus Campaign Golf Tournament and the FedNext Outreach Division. In 2010, Jason won the FedNext Campaign Acharai Award and, in both 2008 and 2009, the Federation CJA Special Merit Award. He is currently Chair of the 2011 YAD FedNext Campaign.

His personal commitment to caring for those in need has led to his volunteering weekly for Project Genesis and raising funds for cancer research for organizations in both Canada and Israel. He has also been a Parliamentary Intern to the Honourable Irwin Cotler, MP, in Ottawa.

Jason works part-time at Paperman & Sons, Inc. as an Apprentice Funeral Director. His experience in community service and his ability to engage and inspire others have won him the respect of his family, his peers and community leadership.
